I've been writing in journals since I was eight years old. My first entry reads, "We will leave the house in a pretty motor home to Disneyland and HOLLYWOOD. It will be fun. I will Bring Home many things from our trip." Hopefully, my writing has improved since then. Although you'll notice I'm still overly fond of CAPS. I started this blog in 2000, when I had a quarter life crisis and flew over the ocean to Ireland first, and then France. Nothing like being alone for weeks in a country whose language you butcher to help you quiet your head. It worked. Two months later I came home happy. Crisis had ended. The journal continued.
I have brown scruffy hair, I love the simplicity movement, I'm married to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) gregtitus, a tall, dark, and dashing computer nerd who writes software for the Mac (via Omnigroup.com), I own too many bags and backpacks (it's like a sickness), I'm the fourth woman in a generational line to have panic disorder, I have a 5-year-old son who is hearing impaired and a 3-year-old daughter who loves to shout, I love reading (anything), scifi movies, knitting, yoga, fiddling, my favorite TV shows are The Simpsons and Heroes, my favorite colors are purple and green, my favorite bands are Cake and the Indigo Girls, and my favorite topping for white rice is butter, sugar, and cinnamon (all three at once, in copious amounts).
Privacy: I've been making most of my posts friends-only lately. If you friend me, and you seem nice, un-troll-like, I will probably friend you back, but give me some time because life has been hectic and I've missed a few people. If we share common friends I will add you right away. My friends are pretty darn awesome, and their friends usually turn out to be quite wonderful, as well. The exception to this is if I don't know you and you don't have any entries in your journal. In that case, I usually don't friend people back.

Occupational information: After finishing EMT training and massage school, I decided what I really needed to round myself out was an art degree. I currently attend Central Washington University, majoring in photography.
